The First Alliance Church new sanctuary project was the second of a three phase overall facility plan. The Sanctuary design had to balance natural light through the use of windows, with the control required by multimedia technology used in the contemporary worship offered at FAC. Consideration was given to hide the technology that would normally be visible, such as projection screens, chancel lighting, microphones, and various sound equipment. The depth of the Sanctuary itself was limited to mimic the intimate feel of much smaller chapels while offering a seating capacity for close to 1200 people.
